Dr. W. Robert Godfrey – (PhD, Stanford University) is a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow and chairman of Ligonier Ministries. He is president emeritus and professor emeritus of church history at Westminster Seminary California. Dr. Godfrey’s field of expertise is church history and how it informs the doctrine and practice of the modern church.
He taught previously at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Stanford University, and Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He is the third president of Westminster Seminary California and is a minister in the United Reformed Churches in North America.
Dr. Godfrey is He is the featured teacher for the six-part Ligonier teaching series A Survey of Church History.
Dr. Godfrey has also written numerous articles and has been a speaker at many conferences, including the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology, and Ligonier Ministries.
He is the author of a number of books, including, Learning to Love the Psalms, God’s Pattern for Creation, Saving the Reformation, and John Calvin: Pilgrim a John Calvin: Pilgrim and Pastor.
Dr. Terry L. Johnson – (DMin, Erskine Theological Seminary) is the Senior Minister of the historic Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia, in which capacity he has served since 1987. This historic church dates back to 1755 shortly after the founding of Georgia. Its enduring commitment to the application of the word of God to every sphere of life made this a church that is ever contemporary, addressing the ancient Scriptures to the needs of modern times.
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area and a graduate of the University of Southern California, Terry Johnson received his seminary education at Trinity College in Bristol, England, where he studied under J. I. Packer and Alec Motyer, and at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, where he served as the Byington Fellow for Dr. David Wells. He received his D.Min. in 2008 under the guidance of Dr. Hughes O. Old at Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina.
Terry is the author/compiler of the Trinity Psalter and Leading in Worship, and author of The Identity and Attributes of God, The Case for Traditional Protestantism, Reformed Worship, and the trilogy, When Grace Comes Home, When Grace Transforms, and When Grace Comes Alive.
